An air of uneasiness
greets one in despair
As the dark clouds roll
and flashes of light tear
The sky in two sheets
with jagged edged light
And booming spreading thunder
all over the night
The storm invades the land
the air dissolves the silence
And water and earth and heat
in furious elemental ambivalence
Into one vast column of space
motion seemed razing
Lashing writhing energy
destruction without heeding
But as everything seems catastrophic
and one's hope loses length
Remember the one who witnesses
is the one who has the strength!
